I woke up with a little light coming into my half closed eyes. Suddenly the shout of my dad’s loud deep voice awakened me. I got out of my bed and was shivering like a Chihuahua with no fur. I crammed my face with cereal then bundled up to take my dog out. I headed into a cherry red van then bounded off to school. We walked in the armory for fifteen minutes then raced into the warm classrooms. We took lunch count which was General Tso Chicken. Everyone went to reading after that.
Checking vocabulary pictures was fun to see what other people wrote and drew. After that we did a spelling test on our vocabulary words. I got a one hundred! When we were done with that we read Nothing Ever Happens on 90th Street. I was very surprised that we didn’t have reasoning and writing, so we went straight to science.
While checking our papers we had to figure out what element we were. I was magnesium (12). When we were checking our papers, Mrs. Hudson showed us how heat can make things move. She called us by rows and dismissed us to go to spelling.
L-J is what we did in spelling. Some of the words were integers, pillage, and negative space. Once we were done checking that, we played a spelling game called sparkle. It was down to Michelle and me. The word was deceived. She said I instead of E. I spelled the word d-e-c-e-i-v-e-d. I got it right, and I won! I got a chocolate kiss. Then we abruptly went to social studies.
Looking at pictures of China was so beautiful like the one of a lit up boat. We also watched videos. My favorite one was one where she went under a river and saw a light show in a subway. We smelled lunch, and everyone glanced at the clock. Bring went the bell to go to lunch.
For lunch we had General Tso Chicken, and we gobbled that down. Then went to recess, and I played shark. Then we met our guest teacher, Mr. Edson. After that, we headed off to music.
During music we played a name game. I didn’t do so great. Once that was over, we went to P.E. where we played a rousing game of basketball. I think I did pretty well.
Test! Yippee a test in math. It was easy at first, but then it got harder. In the middle of our test something peculiar happened. We didn’t have page four. Wow! After math was done, we went to the high school to watch a storyteller.
We spent most of our study hall at the high school. His message was “Don’t get mad get Rad.” When we got back we had a fifteen minute study hall. I got my work done.
We all enjoyed a day at school, but we’re still excited to get out of school. We packed our book bags and lined up by the doors. Once the bell rang we all bombarded out the doors to get home.
