December 7, 2010 by Shane

When I woke up, I was greeted by the unpleasant ray from my lamp in my eyes. So I got dressed, brushed my teeth, and hopped on the bus.

When I arrived at school, I went up to the track to walk. The bone-chilling air made my cheeks as red as a delicate rose.

Ring, Ring, the bell rang. We all rushed off the track and into the school. When we got into the classroom, we did the usual lunch count and flag salute. After that we sauntered over to reading.

In reading, we clicked in our answers on clickers and Mrs. Dux talked about a man playing an Asian instrument that she saw in China and how she wouldn’t have seen that if she didn’t take the path less traveled by.

Holy smokes! Time flies. It was already time for Reasoning and Writing. . We did a character sketch of a person or fictional character.

I glanced at the clock and it was time for spelling. We did a spelling test, and we played a little bit of Sparkle.
In math, we did a quick check. We wrote rules for number patterns.

Next it was time for science. We checked some questions and did 1 through 11 on a chapter review test.

Rumble, Rumble, our stomachs growled. The tantalizing and mouthwatering scent of the breaded beef stick was like a class to our stomachs.

After we gobbled down our food, we went to recess.

After recess, we read Peppermints in the Parlor for a little while. Then we headed to PE. We ran six laps, stretched, practiced our free throwing, and played some knock-out.

In social studies, we played a fun vocabulary review game.

It was time for band. Man, social studies went by fast. In band, we went over eighth notes. Then I went back to the classroom. I packed up and was ready to leave. When the final bell rang, it was like getting lost in a herd of bison, but I made it out alive.
