December 9, 2010 by Kadin

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep said my blaring alarm clock. I couldn’t believe it was already time to get up, so I got up, jumped in some clothes, and ate warp crisp bacon along with delightful eggs. Then I got in the car and headed for school. When I got there, I walked on the track with my friends on a pleasant fall morning. When the bell finally told us to go inside, we sat and did lunch count, and then we stood for the pledge.

First in reading, we did a graphic organizer on Juan Verdades, the man who couldn’t tell a lie. After that, Mrs. Dux told us about how low the class scored on summarizing, and then she threw some words in there that nobody knew, as she was in front of the class making our dendrites grow. After she planted some dendrites in our heads, the bell rang, and it was time for language arts.

Second, during language arts we typed are final drafts on our character sketches. Mine was about this kid who was an amazing athlete and beat the Los Angeles Lakers with one hand. After he did beat the Lakers, it was time to stop typing and go to science.

Next, in science class we would usually have Dave where we have a lot of fun and do wacky experiments and stuff like that, but instead we had an exciting science test. It seemed like the time went by so fast that she passed them out and then bam, she picked them up again and said to go line up for social studies.

After that, we got into social studies and found out about another “exciting’’ test. Can you believe what these teachers put us through? When we heard everybody’s stomach growling with hunger, we knew to put our pencils down start for the cafeteria.

When our stomachs were finally stuffed with delicious mouth- watering chicken nuggets, we went outside for an adrenaline pumping recess. I caught a game winning catch in dodge ball with my fingertips. After it felt like I hit the jackpot in the lottery, the bell rang and everyone went inside for music.

When we went to music Mr. Roby, our music teacher, clapped rhythms and we had to write that rhythm on little marker boards he gave to us for the class. When he stopped clapping and looked at the clock, we knew it was time to go to P.E. As we all scrambled to get to the armory to do layups in basketball, I found out that I’m not a good basketball player. As my bad luck in shooting continued, we lined up to go to math and the humiliation finally stopped.

Next, in math we went over an easy worksheet on inverse operations. Then she gave us yet another easy worksheet on the same thing. And as soon as she gave us the worksheet, it was time to transition to spelling.

In spelling we did L to J and got a better percentage than all of the other classes, as usual. To top it all, I finally got another all-time high of seven. After I was done doing my little happy dance, it was already time for study hall.

After that in study hall, I worked on the easy worksheet that we got in math, and of course, I got done with it and looked at the clock and realized it was already time to leave and go home.

Finally, every one stampeded out the doors like a herd of buffalo wanting to get home and enjoy the beautiful fall day in the rainbow colored leaves.
