Today I heard my dad yell, “It’s time to get up.” I got my clothes and hopped in the shower, and then I went to school. First I got to breakfast and ate some pancakes. Next I socialized with my friends on the track. Then we went inside so Mrs. Mac could take lunch count and so we could say the pledge to the flag. Off to reading we went.
In reading we watched a video on life, studied hyperboles, and read a myth. We had an assignment: Is money the root of all evil? In this assignment we had to draw a graphic organizer on a piece of paper and explain why money is good in life. Next subject was language arts.
In language arts we went over yesterday’s worksheet about similes and discussed each other’s answers. We were assigned to color a picture and describe Clyde’s nasty bedroom. And then we went to social studies.
In social studies we studied about a very important day which is known as Veteran’s Day. Also we watched a video about Veteran’s Day. Then Mrs. Dux gave us a booklet on Veteran’s Day with attached worksheets. Then we went to science.
In science we watched a video on liquids, solids, and gases which are the three states of matter. With Bill Nye the Science Guy, we got a lot of information and stuff to do outside of school. Finally it was lunch and recess time.
For lunch I had macho nachos with mandarin oranges, wheat bread, and a bag of chips. At recess I played dodge ball with my friends Tanner, Blake, and Jared. After recess we had spelling.
In spelling, just like every Thursday, we had L to J. L to J is when we are tested on vocabulary words we learned in various classes. In L to J today I got 5 of the 10 words correct. After spelling, we had math. In math we played a head on head game testing your multiplication and division facts.
Next we would normally have music and PE but instead we went to the high school to watch a program. The program was a fairy tale about Robin Hood. My opinion on the program was that the acting was great and there was humor in the play. The bad part was that I had to sit on the ground and my back hurt.
After the program, we had just enough time for study hall. In study hall I worked on the graphic organizer that Mrs. Dux assigned to me and also the description of the bedroom paragraph.
I really enjoy doing Roving Reporter and I will see you in nineteen days.
