October 29, 2010 by Kadin

“Beep beep beep, my alarm clock said.” It was telling me to get up for the last day of school for the week. I had some sizzling bacon, eggs, and toast. Then it was time to start heading for school. When I got to school, I walked a few laps on the track, and then the bell told us it was time to head for the doors. We took attendance and lunch account. Just when we were getting ready to go to reading, our first class, Mrs. Dux said “Smile and make someone happy,” as always.

In reading we discussed how elderly people enjoy the companionship of kids. They like it when you volunteer to help them, and most of the time, the stories they tell are so interesting you won’t want to leave. But unfortunately I had to leave this exciting reading class and go to language arts.

In language arts we discussed how the camera works for roving reporter, and when Mrs. Dux handed the camera to me, I knew that I was doing roving reporter over the spooky Halloween weekend. I looked at the clock. WHAT? It was time to leave for science already.

In science we did L to J, and then we went over a worksheet on molecules. Wow! I was having the best day ever! I got an all time high in L to J, and a hundred on the molecules worksheet. I just hoped my luck continued in social studies because that was where I was headed.

In social studies we took a head scratching Chapter 2 test. The test took up all of our time in social studies. But then we were all ready to head for the cafeteria.

For lunch we had some mouth watering chicken strips to fill up our howling stomachs. For recess I played a thrilling, mind blowing game of kick ball.

After we came in from a rather chilly recess, we did some art. In library we did some key tapping on the computers. Man time just flies by. It was already time for math.

During math we took a test over mean on the Macs. Then we learned what median and mode were. After that she gave us a 100 page booklet to finish over the weekend, can you believe it? I over exaggerate a lot but we did get a couple pages. Then we headed for the doors that belong to Mrs. Mac for spelling.

In spelling all that we did was lesson 22, but it was easy. Now it’s time to transition into study hall.

During study hall we all ate some delicious cookies, and I will admit that I was eating while writing this.

So as you can see it was a very exciting day at school. But do you know what’s even better than an exciting day at school? An exciting weekend, Oh yeah! As soon as I got home, I was ready to do my homework, then spend the rest of the weekend enjoying myself and playing in the color changing leaves.
