It all started early in the morning at 7:00 am. I didn't even want to get up. My back and my throat hurt, so before leaving, my mom gave me a cough drop and sooner or later my back would be okay. Off I went to school; my dad was driving me to school, so he dropped me off at the track to walk while the bell rang to finally start school.
After the bell rang, we went inside to get prepared for reading, language arts, and spelling. To start out with our day, we proudly said the Pledge of Allegiance. Then we split to reading. Today in reading we talked about helping others and feeling proud of it without getting paid. Our assignment was to read pages 180 through 185 in our reading text book.
Then when we went to spelling, we went over our homework from yesterday with Mrs. Mac. Then she picked up our papers. After that she told us that we were going to play Sparkle before we have our spelling test. This was like a review for us, so we got in a circle to play. The really lucky thing is that we had no homework but to study for our spelling test. Then it was time to go to language arts.
In language arts we handed in our sheet from yesterday. Then I found out that I was Roving Reporter today. I got surprised and happy at the same time. Then Mrs. Dux handed us a worksheet front and back. One of the pages said to describe a fruit or vegetable. We had to be a vegetable or a fruit and describe how we looked or tasted. The other side was knowing about descriptive paragraphs. We had to write down a descriptive paragraph that made more sense.
In science, Mrs. Hudson was talking to us about density. We also read about density in our science text book. Afterward, she handed out our assignment. It was a blank map Chapter 5 Lesson 3 Density. There wasn't really much homework to do but that worksheet. It was finally time for lunch.
During lunch we ate chili and cheese Yummm!!!. Then teachers started dismissing tables to go to recess. At recess I played kickball like always. Sometimes there are really good kickers on my team. And sometimes there are okay people, I’m one of the okay people that kick. I’m not that good. Afterward the bell rang and all the classes had to line up to go back inside. Next our class had P.E.
When we got to P.E, for warm up we first played Chinese freeze tag. After that we got back to bases and we stretched out. Then the P.E teacher put us in teams to play Dog Catcher. My team was Bailey, Paxton, Carson, and me. We chose the Rottweilers. After P.E was over we headed back to our class and started math.
Today in math we worked on mean, median, and mode. We talked about it and then Mrs. Hudson handed us a worksheet. Practice 2-2 median and mode. When I got done with math I packed up for social studies.
During social studies we got back our test. When we got our test back we had to get up and get our clickers. Then we had to click in our test answers. After we were done clicking them in, Mrs. Dux gave us a worksheet, Lesson Summary Chapter 3 Lesson 1, The Nile. Then we finally went back to our rooms.
Finally we had band or study hall. I didn't have band, so I got to stay in and do my homework. I only have social studies, reading, and language arts. Not too much.
Well my good fellows, that was it for me today. I really enjoyed being Roving Reporter. I had a great time, and hopefully I get to do it again some other day.
